The Friedrich Legacy is a reflection of Rodney Friedrich’s diverse career, creative pursuits, and lifelong curiosity. Based in California’s Napa Valley, Rodney has spent decades building businesses, developing properties, pursuing creative endeavors, and exploring interests that extend well beyond his professional work. This site brings those experiences together in one place—not simply as a record of accomplishments, but as a look at the ideas, collaborations, and passions that have shaped his journey.

A Passion for Music

Music has been another important part of Rodney’s story. His creative partnership with guitarist Brad Gillis led to several songwriting and recording projects in the early 1990s. Rodney and Gillis co-wrote “Monster Breath,” while “If Looks Could Kill” was written by Rodney, Gillis, and Gregg Allman. Both songs were recorded in connection with Gillis’s Gilrock Ranch project, with Rodney contributing keyboards to the recordings. These collaborations placed Rodney alongside accomplished musicians from the rock world and represent a particularly distinctive chapter in his creative legacy.

OUR MISSION

T. W. F.

TWF was founded in 1983 and stands for Turpin Whitebook Friedrich, Inc. Rodney teamed up with colleagues Bill Turpin and Milton Whitebook. 

Overseeing development and construction including several hotel projects and the Chelsea Group’s Premium Factory Outlet Centers throughout the United States. 

 

Chelsea Group projects represented include:

  •         Lawrence, Kansas

  •         Long Beach, California

  •         Sacramento, California

  •         Monterey, California

  •         Petaluma, California
